Climate Vulnerability Index
The Climate Vulnerability Index (CVI) is a tool used to measure and compare the vulnerability of different regions, countries, or communities to the impacts of climate change. The CVI takes into account various factors, such as exposure to climate hazards, sensitivity to these hazards, and adaptive capacity, as well as socioeconomic, environmental, and institutional indicators. The CVI can help inform climate adaptation planning, resource allocation, and policy development by identifying the areas and populations most at risk and the factors that contribute to their vulnerability.
