Summary

What are the four phases of the human cycle in the archetypes of the seasons?

  • Spring - the turning on phase, getting started. This is an emergent time of exploration that is great for getting creative and starting new projects with clear goals.
  • Summer -  being ‘on’. We’re productive, socially outgoing, in full bloom. This is the peak of our energy.
  • Autumn - the turning off phase, this phase is a period of transition between ‘on’ and ‘off’. In the autumn phase, we want to be finishing things and slowing down before the cycle ends.
  • Winter -  the period of ‘off’. This phase of the cycle is vital for consolidating and integration. This is when we learn - sleep, for example, is critical for forming memory.
