Networking

In a professional context, networking is the art of making, building and maintaining contact with peers, colleagues and people in the same industry or in a desired group. Networking can be done face to face at events or, more typically in the 21st century, through social media and other digital platforms. Networking is important as a means of information and intelligence sharing, profile and exposure building and broadening channels to drum up new client business or to find new jobs.
