Carbon Neutral
Carbon neutral refers to a state in which the greenhouse gas emissions released into the atmosphere by an activity, product, or entity are at the same level as those which are taken out of the atmosphere. This is usually achieved by balancing the emissions generated with removals or offsetting performed through actions such as carbon sequestration, afforestation, carbon capture and storage, or the purchasing of carbon credits. Carbon neutrality is a key concept in climate change mitigation, as it promotes the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and supports the achievement of global climate goals.
