Bioeconomy
Bioeconomy describes any economic activity which makes use of renewable biological resources, such as animals, fish, microorganisms, crops, and forests to produce a range of goods and services, including energy, food, and various materials. It encompasses the production, utilisation, and conservation of these resources, all while promoting environmental sustainability. It seeks to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, decrease greenhouse gas emissions, and minimise waste, and can contribute to job creation, rural development, and the mitigation of climate change.
